I believe the felony charge was dropped for Gaige.
From the videos it appears Kyle is defending himself.
"because he wanted to shoot people" He only shot at people chasing him trying to grab his gun and or pulling a gun on him.
From the video it looked like Rose who started the first altercation was not chasing him out of kindness.
From the witness statements it looks like Rose started the first altercation. Kyle was running away.
To stop Rose's group from burning down buildings. It sounds like Rose started the altercation from the witness statements.
So should the people burning down buildings? The statement of the guy who interviewed him beforehand sounds like Rose started an altercation
Rose chased him, a 3rd person fired a round in the air, he turned maybe thinking he was being shot at Rose grabbed his gun and got shot
One group was out burning buildings, the other was cleaning it up and trying to stop it I could see why they would appreciate that.
