The rule is (am a 20 year Artilleryman) only to engage terrain and equipment. The use is stayed as a smoke and concealment measure. You can use it as well under the LoW to engage things like trucks and buildings etc. And that's where the people come into it. "I engaged the truck, not the people in it"

I was in the Army for 20 years. The symbols for o$ice and enlisted are different. With enlisted, it's an arrangement of stripes. For Officers it's symbols like stars. Look at the "DEI" dudes chest. The symbol on his chest is made of stripes. And it's navy rank and a different rank which appears different that the "porn stache" guy, who has his rank on the arms just under his shoulder. Enlisted. The stripes are called chevrons and rockers. Hope that helps.
I hate the man, but you need some facts. The dude he didn't salute was enlisted. You don't salute enlisted personnel, save for very, very few, and specific instances.
