Looks like it could be a camellia maybe? Not an expert but there are a lot of then around here that look like that

For the record, most poles can be set to be either spinning or static. Poles that do not turn are very much a thing.

You can't do it in full clothing because the skin contact is what holds you to the pole. Can't grip with clothing.
They don't rotate on their own! You build the momentum and spin them, which also means you have to fight to keep from being thrown off.

It's not a disorder unless it causes significant impairment to one or more major area of your life.
As a therapist who has worked with vets, I can assure you that you are not the only one. I'm glad something worked for you.
