I'm a gamer- tabletop, card, board and video. Check me out at twitch.tv/tranderas! I have an associate degree in culinary arts and a bachelor degree in marketing, so sometimes I talk about business and food. 3ish years in restaurants (2+ years fast food, 8 months mongolian grill, 3 month internship) means I talk about food a lot. I apologize if my comments make you hungry. Things I auto-downvote: * "No offense" or "in my opinion..." * "Just sayin'" / "just saying" * Medical stories/hospital stories * Bernie Sanders * "This will get downvoted..." * "OMG DOWNVOTE FAIRIES *cry* *cry* *cry*" * Unfunny comics self-promoting * Comics posted without source * Posts with 9gag watermarks * Posts of comics from Cyanide & Happiness or The Oatmeal- we all know those sites already, we can go there and support them ourselves * Front page posts made explicitly to whine about the community/promoted posts * Unpopular Opinion Puffins that express a popular opinion * Lassaan bashing (I get it, he lies to get to FP, so do 80% of other people. get over it and yourself) * Donald Trump (I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THIS RACIST FASCIST DROP IT ALREADY) * "If you get to the front page with a screenshot of my profile, I'll..." If you get to the front page with a screenshot of this, I'll downvote the submission and maybe make fun of you in the comments.
Just wondering if this is still true 10 years later while going through my favorites folder
I can't look at Facebook, Twitter, any news outlet, Reddit, or Imgur without hearing about it, so yes it is getting enough attention.

Some people want to come on this site as an escape from depressing reality, not to embrace it.
A capitalist wouldn't be asking the government for help because they believe the government should have nothing to do with them.
The judge that gave it to Yoel was wrong. Izzy did more damage, had more significant strikes, had better ring presence and awareness...
Not that Draco is a bad guy! But his strength lies in his big-picture analytics, and he's not as bright a personality as the others.
I loved her at RT. She's far better than any hire they've made since and I would prefer her over Trevor in content as well.
And his daughter's a great announcer and cosplayer in her own right.
The people who want this sort of revolution oppose the people who want to implement these sorts of changes.
It's not Ron Weasly?
I'm opposed. I prefer the shorter days as my attention span isn't that great and I work better in shorter bursts. 6x6 for me.
I want to do something about it and am reducing my footprint but going into defcon 5 is hurting that cause more than helping.
The evidence is overwhelming that humans are causing the climate to change. It's also overwhelming that much of this change is natural.
I decided on my own that the role is being overblown. That was me, and I've read the science and come to that conclusion of my own free will
What if you think humans play a role but the magnitude of that role is being overblown by popular media?
Credit the YTer: DancingBacons, great food channel with a cute gf to boot.
I saw info that suggested students will buy hard copies even with free pdfs available for ease of reading and jotting notes on the pages.
However, that gulf was so big that it turned me off from playing it entirely. When I can play alternatives and feel strong-ish two weeks in?
I played for about a month and was turned off by the sheer lack of power I felt compared to people who spent $ but otherwise enjoyed it.
It auto battles through the easier content so you can focus on grinding the harder stuff. Doesn't play everything for you.
I'll wait til next election thanks.
Universal care? Sure. Voting Bernie? No thanks.
We saw firing range that bordered woods get caliber limits and an early curfew because of people who decided to buy land at the target end.
They are liable under EU law regardless. That's why recent laws have come under such scrutiny- they mandate behavior like this.
Now we're going in circles. EU law requires them to police posts as if they had published it themselves.
Which is their right as both platform and publisher. YT isn't profitable. Google maintains it to control the political dialogue.
Problem being most governments don't differentiate. They're holding platforms accountable for content posted as if they had published it.
