Normally they're buried by cable ploughs. Depends on water depth and soil conditions though. Up to 3m deep. 10m if ice scour is a hazard.

They're from disposal of wastewater/produced water. Could happen with any poorly regulated drilling. Not specifically Fracking.

No. I'm not. But those are not from Fracking. Anyone who says they are doesn't understand. Simples.

Yes dear.

You drill. You know. Create a hole in the ground. And then you complete. By Fracking. That you don't know the difference is telling.

There are hazards associated with everything. Managing those hazards is key.

You know nothing. They are drilled precisely the same as conventional wells. They are then fracked. Fracking is part of the completion.

US imports almost 0 Saudi oil. Canada, Venezuela sure, Nigeria, Algeria? Yeah. Saudi? Just to fill spare capacity in Gulf coast refineries.

Yuuuuuuuup. Pipeline is safest method of transport. By a huge way.

Fracking is safe. Source: I'm a geologist too.

Fracking associated earthquakes (as in ones that affect humans) are incredibly rare and so far have caused basically zero damage.

They are conventionally drilled. And then they are fracked. Fracking is safe so long as disposal is managed properly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yup. The fracking point is largely BS. So few fracking associated quakes. And improper disposal is problem.

Don't know how this isn't top comment.

Can be ego cause Trudeau.

BBC chose priorities. Simple.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. They've put some pressure and are alleviating it in other ways, by letting them charge for iPlayer in future and linking it to licence.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. It's not. The BBC has the money. They chose not to meet the price. It's not a result at all.

How?! Christ. How is it the fault of the Tories?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's been known for decades.

You're free to have a referendum if there's demand. There isn't. Simples.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. But opinion polls (and they are broadly accurate) never came close to showing support.

Northern Ireland wanted to remain part of the UK. The IRA were trying to overturn the wishes of the Northern Irish.

It's because today is the 19 years later day. TMYK.

Today is the 19 years later scene at the end of HP.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck that. We, the West, are right. They're wrong. And the sooner they learn it the better for everyone.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Yes. It's that simple. There's always two sides to everything. Even a death cult like ISIS. Even a country that stones women like Saudi.

Given by?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the UK, not really. Not sure about other countries.
