Adding: you may have 240V for large appliances but those were all planned and in use. You probably don’t have a spare, unused 240V outlet. If you have natural gas, you may have NO 240V outlets at all — this is my case with no A/C (older house in coastal SoCal) and gas water heater, oven, dryer.
Dune, the novel, is right up there as maybe my favorite SF novel. I have no interest in reading more based on what I’ve heard and read. It’s complete. And honestly Frank had to get paid, so of course he wrote more books (he made little on the first book).
