So it already happened 3000 years, we’re just now seeing it?
These are very good. Seeing some of your other posts as well, you have a real eye for composition, especially in your figure drawing/ anatomy sketches. I hope you find success with your art.
The Gaming Historian did a youtube documentary not too long ago about the history of the Oregon Trail game, and goes pretty deep into this guy’s involvement with all that. Worth a watch. One of the main takeaways from the video though is the original creators basically never got paid for developing it, and to this day still don’t get any money from sales of the game.

Came for the They Might Be Giants reference. Was not disappointed.
This is a great story and a good example of how some simple accommodations can make a big difference for neurodivergent people. My son struggles in a similar matter, and we found by explaining the whole situation in detail way ahead of time, showing him examples, or role playing what will happen, he can better handle the anxiety with new situations. It would be nice if there wasn’t such a stigma around being an adult with autism because these kinds of things would really help in a work context.
This was a really great scene. I don't know how close to real life it was but basically after this interaction, he was able to convince Nintendo to bundle Game Boy with Tetris instead of Mario, arguing instead of just a thing kids would want, it would be something everyone would want. He ended up being very correct.

It could just be cynicism, but there’s a good chance there is a deliberate attempt by brands that have no inherent position one way or another on identity politics who are now understand putting a rainbow on something or using a trans person to promote a product will results in essentially free marketing. Even if some from the traditional audience for the brand attacks it, they’re gaining new customers while likely not losing as many as current ones to matter. It’s all free marketing.
Hoo boy, wait until they find out the internet exists.
I’m still waiting for them to find all the yu-gi-oh stuff.

Occasionally though I need to buy a bunch of stuff while it’s 100 degrees outside, while bringing my kids with me, the car is good for that.
I'm living in a weird time now where I now have to look at the hands on every image I see, just to check if it's real or not.
By linking personal wealth and value, the possession of these things as an indicator of good mental health you discount the problem. 2/2
This is a reductive message. There are plenty of “rich” people who are suicidal or have killed themselves. Focus should be mental health 1/2
