To have the same effect as a standard bull barrel, but to cut down on the weight without losing barrel integrity.

It was custom milled and parkerized in my shop.
Once I finish my AR-10 I will post that too. It has a 24 inch barrel and I am waiting for my suppressor stamp to come through.
AR is more accurate but less reliable in function. This same range day I got a casing stuck in my AR, wouldn't extract.
I used all of those plus a spot welder. Even a metal brake and I even parkerized the receiver myself. Does it look accessorized? Nope.
I also have built other rifles. Two in AR platform. So I switched the 3rd build up.
