Wow! There are local ice cream stores in the Bay Area that have those flavors, but not all in one. Sounds delish!

I can relate, but I hope that once you decide that they should be recycled, you do break them down. So many of my apartment neighbors don’t, ignoring signs. 🤦‍♂️ Unbroken shipping boxes take up so much space in the large recycle bins, and are also tougher to carry out of your house. Flattened ones easily fit in a paper bag and take less space in the dumpster.

This is one of my biggest fears at this moment. My Ma has started forgetting and mixing-up so many names in the last year, I just hope it doesn’t come to this. 😞 And yet I made my Ma cry today by being insensitive to her caring. You’re a much better person than me @OP. And please stop chopping onions. ?1

“But it helped raise the stock price by 1¢ for a few hours and that made the shareholders happy, and hence, worth it.” (probably).

I think that’s just part of the bride’s attire. It’s called a chunri or chunni (Ch as in China, u as I pull, i as in ee). Covers the head and but here also works as a veil I guess. Also sometimes worn with other dresses to sort or cover up a shirt/kurta /top part of the body.

Also, in modern times of nuclear families, she’s not necessarily going to be living with her in-laws, more likely just her husband. (Thought I should clarify that).

Sauce: I’m Indian. Not a stupid question though. Took me a second look too to understand.

Indian wedding; the part at the end (called vidai) where the bride (in red) says goodbye to her parents/family, as she traditionally leaves for her new home (in-laws’). Usually an emotional time, even if in modern times she was likely already living away from family for college, work etc. Here though, the bride’s Dad or bro (probably) first hugs her, then as she turns away, acts as if he’s happy and dancing to finally see her leave (good riddance!) 😄.
