I think Dan Olsen made the best observation on it, though I don't remember it word-for-word. It along the lines that IF the earth is flat, then all the other weird or downright crazy conspiracies they ALSO believe in must be true, too. (He makes the point that a lot of flat earthers moved on to QANON, as example, when the hype died down.)

Only if you can also pick the people up and use them as skipping stones. My record was eight bounces. My brother could only do six. The scrub.

Bob of Silvermoon, I think.

"That's funny! Because he was a massmurdering fuckhead!" Is the following sentences if memory serves correct. If only the gif was longer.

Is the dolphin lady in the audience? :D That laugh is contagious.

My vet told me that they don't have one on their forehead, so a proper bull-head-on bump is just pure love/affection (or I'd like to think so as both of mine will do all variations depending on time of day/scenario).

I was about to link this! His reviewed was so... reasonable compared to the shock-horror of others reviewers, no doubt because gagging is more content-worthy.

You'd enjoy the Good Place.

Based on the reaction I can only conclude that was not the first call from actual police/jail.

Not sure if I intended it to be, I just got caught in a rabbit hole of relations where "it was thought bats and primate were closely related" often came up. I did find some article stating that bats are closer to humans than mice, but it wasn't to clear to me if that was by genome or immune system... Apparently bats closest relatives (or family groups) are those that include pangolin and whales, out of all things. Thought it was interesting to share as bats are delightfully strange.

And you're absolutely right that bats are not closely related to mice. I got sidetracked on wikipedia reading up on family group/order scientific classification in general. Phew, that is a complicated beauty to tackle before bed...

Don't think that's fully correct anymore, but I believe it used to be considered true as bats confused everybody. But our (primates) are in the superorder Euarchontoglires, which outside primates and their relatives includes Lagomorpha (hares, pikas, rabbits) and Rodentia (rodents). Bats are considered closer related to cats and dogs than to us as they're in the Laurasiatheria superorder, but we're still close related if not THE closest related!

I read an article yonks ago that men sending dick pics is also about getting a reaction, any reaction. Because (often rightfully so) their "nice" behaviour does not land them positive or even neutral feedback, so by their logic getting outrage back aka a bad reaction is at least some achknowledgement of their existance. That you say them/the dick. I'm NOT excusing dick pics, or even really piting the men that send them, just thought it was a curious behavioural bit for (some) of these men.

Knowing there's litterboxes that do this to cats, this add just made me feel ill (I'm guessing this add is older than those, but it crosses into reality). I guess my dark humour have a line where I "get it" as far as outrage goes, but I don't find it funny.

That feels a tad pedantic. I think MadnerKami only wanted to point out that evolution *does* in the sense that nobody is better planned than anything else alive currently, even if some looks stranger or "worse planned" to us than others. We're only the result of what evolution has done over time.

Seeing how they're mamals, shouldn't it be puppy-"goose"?

Hey now. Cats absolutely are aware and can care. (As I can't speak for all cats, just my own.) One of mine accidentally bit my finger as a kitten (very eager + very tasty treat) and I cried out as it bloody hurt with needle kitten teeth. After that he's refused to take anything from between my fingers. Preferably he wants the treat on the floor, occasionally accepted from the palm of my hand. He's a good boy. (And I'll admit I'm sad I spooked him so badly as a kitten that this is the result.)

Thanks for the comment. I was thinking her look wasn't all natural, but her face being so feminine confused me a little. So I'm glad it's pointed out that this isn't something any woman can achieve naturally with just lifting weights and exercising. It requires a little extra (same for how "perfect" male bodies also have some extra going on). But no shame on her for making an informed choice.

... yeah, I'm among those who's grown jaded by realising the videos of adorable rescues of pets are often cruelty in reverse. Film the animal healthy and fine, neglet/abuse it, then reverse those clips so it seemed like you saved them. Because some people are cruel to animals for clicks and views. And I do mean absolutely, terribly cruel to animals. The only way to stop that is to not give them clicks and views. Because people will do a lot for clicks and views and the cash that go with it.

... why is this so terrifying to me? *reluctant upvote*

I know that's said all the time with this image, but it always strikes me as weird. A lot of dogs would get excited or scared or aggressive when sick and meeting an unknown dog. Especially when nervous? I imagine if true it'd only work for some special cases or why else take the risk? I can't check the original x/twitter post because I don't have a x/twitter account, so asking because I'm curious to the story here if anybody can be bothered to share.

I kinda wish that clips where people died came with a warning... or a sensor window so I could click to view if I wanted to and not have it surprised tossed at me.

I was also thinking this (as well as eyeing the cheating by grading the one dice). I know there are plenty of online websites that'll happily convert images into charts in however many colours and pixel (stitches) width/hights you want. I've used them myself as a base to make patterns useful for cross stitch to knitting. Dice art is an area I've not ventured into as of yet.

I think it's meant to be, but not necessarily in the mean-spirited way? It's more so that there is so much wrong/evil in the world that there are limits to how much of it you as an individual can take on without going into a deep depression/batshit insane. Especially as there are limits to what you alone can do. So we end up picking and chosing the battles we feel we can make a difference to, for better or worse.

And looking at the knot on the other string it seems like it's not the first time.
