Because diamonds are boring - clear, colorless, and lifeless. Semi-precious stones have more character for a fraction the cost.
There is exactly one of those outfits I would ever admit to even drawing a sketch of, let alone make and wear or display.

they're common decorative shrubbery - take the photos to your local plant shop and you'll find more there with name tags.
Traditional is best - dress slacks, button down +/- tie, matching dress shoes; suit if you are going for manager. Denim's a little casual.
