In US riots stuff still gets also demolished, but you also have dead people. Everybody having guns does nothing.
I never see civilians going out on the street in the US, to "defend" themselves. Going out yourself seems like a sure way to die.
The job of the police is not to kill people. Europe values human life, even a criminals, more than the US.
In US riots everything still gets fucked up, but you also have dead people. Guns don't stop riots but end lives.
