Have we not done this experiment enough times to understand it’s a bad thing?

You’re right, but the minute we let them cow us into a corner, we’ve already lost. The average person in an American city is on camera >200 a day. Sucks that the same rights codified in the document that protects speech aren’t as protected as the ones that let nut jobs blow kids away at an elementary school
Why should people be afraid to peacefully protest?
I don’t want to always bring it full circle, but isn’t it a little interesting that the satirists, the ones who see the comically ridiculous parts of our lives, the people we see as objectively grounded, good people, the Ryan Reynolds, the Jane Goodalls, the Michelle Obama’s, all have a certain bent toward a particular view of what is right and what is so clearly on a path to tear us apart?
Drove an hour to my county registrar today to make sure my application was accepted here in TX…mostly bc I’m a millennial and I have no idea how mail works
