I found a kitten when I was 12 outside in my garage. We fed & kept her and tried to bring her in but she'd always want to go back out. So we let her live outside where she was comfortable. She eventually died of natural causes at 21 years old. (Yes, she went to the vet, got shots, was spayed...)
