I wish the US would do this with our national parks. Like straight up make first nations folks federal employees in control of the land. Let them set aside specific small areas that are for their private dwelling but the rest is national park/their cultural home. Federal funding pays for the park bit, tourism goes in their pockets. Probably like 3 people alive that would go for that :/

2002. I have MCC and I like it, the small QoL changes are kinda nice but overall it's a faithful modernization. The original Xbox version has specific effects like some transparent glass and things that didn't make it into the 2002 port and the "original" graphics settings in MCC isn't original at all to my eyes. Gotta play the og on Xbox or emulate it to see what I mean.
Halo on Xbox had unique graphical effects, and also the best controls. The PC version felt ok with mouse and keyboard, which I love, but the Xbox version literally invented the fps gamepad controls that nearly everything else uses now. And MCC is nice and all, but the modern graphics look like a proper HD remake and the original graphics are anything but. So Halo CE on Xbox hardware remains unique.
I miss reddit a lot, but reddit isn't the company it's the community ran forum. I deleted my account pre-blackout due to some suckup users and I'm not going back. I'd like to use Lemmy but next to nobody from reddit has moved over. With the dissolution of reddit we are all going out separate ways and forum culture is officially dead. There isn't a close enough replacement that is pulling people in so now I just gotta go...live life I guess?
