However, the ground moves towards you, so I would expect a line through the bottom of the rainbow to intersect a moving point on the ground, and I would expect it to move closer to me. The rainbow is blurry because the sun is not a point. If the sun were a very BIG triangle than the blur effect would be triangular, but it would still be a circle that was getting blurred.
