I like Physics, Fantasy, Rationality and making up stories in my head where I save the world by punching someone. I'm not looking for romance, I'm just hoping it shows up one day. I'm definitely not looking for hot singles in my area. I don't understand what a gender identity is, so I don't have one. I hope yours brings you happiness.

So if Netflix subscriptions provide access to a set of films of which 13% are foreign made (this week) then the tariff will ... whatever. He's just making noise.

We have to wait until Gaza is completely empty and THEN we can say "oh no, this was terrible, how did we allow this?". If we start too soon we might have to help the survivors.

hmmm ... as you fall it makes pretty much no difference to the direction of the sun ... so the rainbow should not appear to move. However, the ground moves towards you, so I would expect a line through the bottom of the rainbow to intersect a moving point on the ground, and I would expect it to move closer to me. In this video it appears to be moving away from me. Um ... but I'm doing geometry in my head after midnight ...

You can make one if you like and test it - cut triangle in cardboard, put cardboard on window, spray plant mister into beam of light while looking away from the sun.

The rainbow is blurry because the sun is not a point. If the sun were a very BIG triangle than the blur effect would be triangular, but it would still be a circle that was getting blurred.

It's all of the cone, or at least, all of the cone that intersects the falling rain, it's just all in the same direction when seen from the tip

That twist in the wire is there to make it more complicated so it looks clever. In your head, just move the bottom wire under the pole, under the plug, and then back above the plug and under the wire again.

OK, so this requires two holes, only one of which needs to be big enough for the plug, and the other for 3 or 4 of the wire, so this means I can push a large plug through a small hole so long as there is a larger hole next to it? That seems ... odd ...

What matters is if explaining "it's broken" to the guy in charge makes them go "oh wow I hadn't noticed I had better fix that" or "Saving 33% of cars is not in my own personal best interest". Let's be clear, the information won't be news to them.

The "Buteo" genus, called a buzzard pretty much everywhere except the americas, is very much a predator.

Looks like a buzzard to me, but there appears to be a LOT of linguistic confusion out there about those two words. Apparently the US often uses buzzard to mean vulture?!?

Of course, all we can hear is the reproduction of *that* sound on our normal speakers. Does it make sounds ours can't when you see it in person?

He's not a centrist, he's an on-the-fencist. Anyone actually centrist would be on Palestines side against an action far FAR from centrist in nature.
