They are not rare but not common. There's 1 year in the 40s that almost no pennies were made and that one is somewhat tougher to find.
I have a bunch if anybody would like to trade I wouldn't mind trading to get one. There's one year in the 40s that's very tough to find.
As a somebody who's loved the space program, this was pretty dramatic when you see this at this exhibit.

The cube was disassembled and re-assembled right? I think you can tell by the spacings at the cube intersections.
