I love that women in wrestling are at a point of respect and near equal footing in the industry. WWE has a LOT of issues yet but they and the next two biggest US promotions really treat their female talent as important and discuss and promote them in the same context as the men - as wrestlers. Do I miss Torrie Wilson's smokeshow of a body and her huge uptown rack? Absolutely. But the industry is in a better place and that is rad. I can get my titties elsewhere.
How y'all feeling about Bo Nix? In MN so I only caught glimpses. Seems like his stats were up and down through the year from my memory, which could be wrong. Is he the guy?
I'd be curious to know more about Reid's personal beliefs. I know a lot of Christians who espouse inclusion, taking care of those in need, supporting the poor and fighting against persecution of minority groups. Of course, I also know a lot of the others. But it's possible Reid is an LDS Mormon who doesn't agree with all of the faith's tenets. Of course, Butker kindly let us all know exactly what a shitstain he is. I hope he tears his ACL every time he kicks the ball.
This is spot on. It's far worse to know that we've made all these advancements and yet so many people both here in the US and around the world don't have access due to corporate avarice, political posturing, and a general disregard for those not within their socioeconomic circles. Quality of life has certainly improved, but when you look at the way we treat one another, it makes perfect objective sense that many people have such difficulty being happy.
Is it worse for a thing not to have existed, or to exist but be inaccessible because of the greed of others? I certainly have my answer.
We have an economic system that encourages hoarding of wealth by the top 1%, a for-profit healthcare system that bankrupts our citizens, and a political system where cruelty is a virtue. But hey, wE hAvE hOt ShOwErS nOw! I don't disagree with the idea of what he's saying, and I know some of these problems aren't new, but from as objective a standpoint as I can get to, a lot of this life is a fucking nightmare.

I also didn't do it very often, as far as the restaurant hang or other public venue smoking, because most of my friends weren't and aren't smokers. But I had a few and when I was out with them, of a mixed group who was willing, we would sit in the smoking section and do it up. So I'm sure there's a scarcity factor at play.
Not at all! But it was an enjoyable part of the experience, as unhealthy as it was. It's so much better now for non-smokers as well, to be able to go out and not deal with it. But I still miss it aometimes. I'm sure there's a nostalgia factor too - I'm in my early 40s and I mainly smoked in my late teens and 20s.

#22 8m so glad this is not the case any more. It's so good for public health. I would also be a damn liar if I didn't say I missed it. Sitting in the smoking section with a beer or Coke and some wings, shooting the shit with friends....man. Some good times closing down the local. Applebee's. Truly, America's favorite neighbor.
