Maximum profits! Non-existent accountability. Privatization is the best.
Darn, I didn't have "cannibalistic strawberries" on my usersub bingo card.
"Enterprise Risk Management Actuary." That's a real job that exists. Their whole job is to determine the financial risk to the corporation in specific scenarios, and then recommend an action based on the number crunching. Most famous example is the "Ford Pinto Memo." They calculated that fixing the pinto would be 3 times more expensive than letting people die and paying the families off. Almost every corporation is utterly reprehensible. It's terrifying how much power they have over us.
Okay yes, thank you for providing more accurate words. The *concept* of training is simple, but the execution of it can be frustrating.
Wait, is it claw code or claude code? I stay as far away from AI as I can, but at work I'm sucked into it every day.
I've absolutely done that before. Most recently when reading Dungeon Crawler Carl a few months ago. It's a ridiculously stupid series while also being fun and insightful. Worth a 5am binge when you have to work at 8am.
I've never seen Captain Ron, and now I really want to.
You don't put on the tank or the mask before getting on the truck, that's after you arrive on scene. Before getting on the truck it's just pants, boots, jacket, and grab your helmet. I've also never seen turnout gear that wasn't set up to step into the boots and pants while they're on the ground, but I assume this is some kind of challenge.
Training dogs isn't difficult, and it's SO goddamn important for keeping them safe.
I really need to go back and rewatch that. I rewatched Legend of Neil a few weeks back and it wasn't quite as funny the second time around.
I need to rewatch this movie
I wouldn't kick anything out of bed. But if I'm on the internet and I can be infinitely picky... I don't like the obnoxiously giant asses or titties.
The world has always been full of such repulsive people. It's just a little bit easier to spot them now.
New account huh? Other one get nuked? I gotta say, you find some fun stuff.
That's several hundred hours worth of tv, and at least 10-12 hours of /good/ tv...
I worked at a dairy queen 25 years ago. If it's the same as it was, and I have to imagine it is, that cone coating stuff looks absolutely disgusting. When it's cold it's just a giant block of wax in butterscotch syrup in a big tin can.But once warmed up, it does taste absolutely scrumptious...
If you get it whet stone sharp, I'm sure it could go through that easy. ***Could***. Doing that takes a LOT of practice and confidence.
And even that paint has a finite lifespan in saltwater.
Found this, it's close: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/choice-7-narrow-semi-flexible-fillet-knife-with-white-handle/220KWFNRSFX7.html
It looks like a pretty standard boning knife you can get from webstauraunt store. Probably costs about 10 bucks. But that guy put in a lot of work honing it to be super, SUPER sharp.
Salt water kills anything and everything mechanical after a while. But yeah, it would work in salt water. Just clean it very thoroughly after.
#2 having that window be open and not completely shielded was certainly a decision.
It did leave out that fun little part, but I like the movie ending a little bit better.
I mean, it could be survivable if you had the wherewithal to seal your mouth and nose, but "survivable" in this case means months in the hospital and loads of skin grafts... It doesn't take long to burn through your skin...
#4 it would be nearly impossible for the camera person to be more annoying...
#25 appropriate response.
#2 not an elastic band. It needs to be an inelastic string. If it is elastic and you stretch it while drawing the perspective would be skewed. Might be interesting to see, but it's not what is shown.
And yes, pedants and assholes, I understand I'm posting this to the internet. I'm not a hypocrite, I'm just someone living through the same hellscape as everyone else and can see fucked up everything is. Yes, there are amazing aspects of the internet. But I mean it's current incarnation and implementation, it's a mistake. Unrestricted, unfettered, capitalist-driven bullshittery and enshittification.
The internet was a mistake.
