So sad! Hang in there, OP! Since you're teaching your kids to do the right thing, I assume your partner knows where you stand on this issue. Do they know you're struggling? Talk to them or seek professional help, there's no shame in that. As a last resort, cut ties with these people. Ban that negativity from your life, if not for yourself, then for your kids & partner.
As a Dutchman with many friends in the UK; I fear Labour won't be able to make meaningful changes in the mess they inherited from the Tories. Between the banking crisis of 2008, the Brexit desaster, Covid, and soaring gas prices due to the Ukraine war, Tories left the country is in shambles. A reporter of the Financial Times described it as follows: There's London, the rest of the country doesn't count economically. England is now considered an underdeveloping country.
Or he could just fire them; they did give POTUS carte blanche after all.
Like a presidential act reversing SCOTUS's ruling on Roe v. Wade?

Same in the Netherlands, and although I agree with you, education would work better. Compare the build-up in 1930's Germany & WW2 to the current political climate around the world, and hope that common sense prevails. No-one should WANT to wear that stuff.

Train their pilots and mechanics, supply them with a fuckton of parts and see what happens.
We should supply Ukraine with tanks and fighter planes. Half the Western world is moving from F16's to F35's. 1/2

I am a 57y old Dutchman who only joined the union 8 years ago. I always thought unions were a thing of the past. Boy, was I wrong!
Last year I went on strike for the very first time in my life . It was just 1 day in a relay strike of 2 weeks, and we won on all counts! /2
Started doing just that yesterday! Bless my wife for retiring to bed early. ;)
