If a house has windows, a rock is the ultimate key.
Locks are only there to keep the honest people honest. The dishonest WILL find a way to accomplish their goals.

When the fuck was that?
I first started paying attention to politics when Reagan went on national television and admitted to the Iran-Contra Affair and got applauded by the Republicans in Congress like he had just given a State of the Union address instead of admitting to treason and horrific crimes that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands. & of course before that, we had Nixon, Hoover happily allowing people to starve to death, half the country went to war to preserve slavery, etc.

Here is a second opinion for you; if this is how you make important decisions, you should NEVER be allowed to make important decisions,

Just imagine an non-white immigrant showing up preaching:
socialism, free health care for the poor, you cannot serve both God and money, peace, love & tolerance for those unlike you.
The Evangelists would crucify him so fast it would leave the rest of us wondering how they got their hands on the lumber so quick.

Some people have wrought so much death and destruction; induced so much misery and suffering that their deaths do much to promote peace and generally improve the world.
And you object to us celebrating their passing?
There are about 400 people who's deaths if brought about in quick succession would practically bring about a new golden age; would vastly improve the lives of innumerable people and prevent the premature deaths of untold numbers.
I WILL rejoice in their deaths!

As happy as I am that yet another horrible person is dead, I am still celebrating the death of Washington's favorite War Criminal: Kissinger.
My celebration of Anita's death will just have to wait its turn.

You will have to forgive me. I am old and so not up on current trends. I was unaware that universities had figured out that they could squeeze more people into broom closet sized spaces while charging exorbitant amounts if they just tell them to share a bed.

I'm failing to see another person's bed squeezed into a space barely big enough for one person, so I'm not certain it's a dorm room.

Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

OnomatopoeicOnanisma: Consequences are not something they either see or believe in
They aren't wrong. I mean the Trump years have made it glaringly clear to all but the most naive that our justice system does not punish the ultra wealthy. Hell before that there were signs for any who paid attention; I mean does the phrase affluenza ring any bells? Or sentences where the offender is given a slap on the wrist with an excuse that they don't want to ruin his future E.G. Brock Turner, etc.

You want a good example in education to follow? Look to the Norwegians.
Considering the topic involves charter schools, one thing in particular I would point out about Norway's education system is the fact that they ban private schools. The wealthy are forced to send their children to public schools and have incentives to make sure public education is both high quality and well funded.

No, it is not. In China education is based on rote memorization rather than understanding of principles. Cheating is endemic and considered normal; it is impossible to differentiate the good students from the cheaters. Bribing teachers and school administrators to ensure good grades has become so normalized that poor students who are actually good lose out on scholarships and university placement to families that can afford big enough bribes. We do not want to emulate China.

Molten Salt is Hella corrosive!
The maintenance required is prohibitive; there is a reason it isn't more widely practiced. However, if this is some new experiment we are looking at and not an old one, perhaps they have some new alloy(s) that they believe will resist the corrosion.
