If your kid doesn't know how to properly respect a dog, I wouldn't leave my dog in a room with them. I would definitely want municipal government to put in laws for these types.
I think you are describing a need for basic training, which applies for any dog breed. If an owner knows the breed and how to train them, your point is moot. Any poorly trained dog is dangerous.

I went to school, studied linguistics, and then became an English teacher. Traveled around the world and got paid for it. Paid every dime of my student loan off that way. It was hard work, but there are ways to see the world that aren't served from a silver spoon.
