Gender and identity studies aren’t a science. Sociologists often study the same issues empirically. Both disciplines have their merit.
Interact. It’s not a matter of ranking privilege or disadvantages, but studying the way gender and other identities affect people’s lives.
I can see how it could be seen that way. From my experience most discussion and instruction revolves around identities and how they 1/
