Google played a big part in the rise of Search Engine Optimization, but Google search isnt the problem. SEO is. Anyone can put the right words in their article to get it to come up despite it not being relevant to you. The examples provided are interesting and useful, but not direct substitutions for Google search. DuckDuckGo or Bing might be good, I don't know. But there will need to be a major breakthrough in searching the entire internet before SEO stops surfacing irrelevant results anywhere.
