In Japan, pretty sure even their left leaning politicians are fairly conservative. From what I have seen and read into it, young Japanese people don't really bother voting and the rural vote is particularly strong, this means the Polticians cater to an older, very conservative voting block. This is why the LDP held onto power so long - a good chunk of Japanese voters didn't like progressive policies it seems.

I appreciarte that he pulls no punches and called it like he saw it when he got to hollywood, but DAMN is he irritating.

The UK brought in mandatory ID in order to vote to combat "Fraud" (that did not exist), because the then current conservative government was VERY unpopular. Thing is, I'm not sure it is political for him - he's a GIANT law nerd, and he's taking issue with the breakdown of the legal protections and the system - the channel's not doing anything different from before, they are still explaining about the laws and legal implications of recent news stories but the current environment has it all revolve around the constant lawbreaking of the current US Admin. Pretty sure he's said he wants to cover other things, but he feels a duty to keep people informed

Pretty sure their defence is now the protection of five different nations (plus NATO) who have been conducting wars for longer than the USA has existed as a country.
