Then why do we continue to see that anomaly? With equal funding, a third party can viably be on tickets at all. That is my point.
See perot in the 80s. He had tons of funding and no ballot weight, and still took a substantial vote ( more than req. for party status.) $$

I would argue that this system doesn't really accept a slow change or restructure with this, many ballots don't have more than two choices..
