It's basically a drum coated in very rough sand paper. Bottom and sides.Motor spinning a bottom plate inside drum, causes the potato to spin in drum and rub off skin on the sand paper.There is always a water sprayer to wash the skin away.You can't over load the drum or potatoes will get stuck

Why is noone throwing paint. Car windscreen, paint. Camera equipment, paint. Visors, paint. Some water balloons with paint would stop a lot of equipment

This is true. Only need 2 pairs out of the 4 to get it to work. If you don't care about speed. This would work for devices. If all else fails you will be back to being a hub and not a switch in a sense
