No, we are never "past the point of protecting victims". Step one of propriety and justice is stopping the harm; step two, preventing its reoccurrence. Once redacted (correctly by Massie's team, as opposed to DOJ's criminally poor, delayed, and political attempt), then it should be released. Apart from protecting victim identities, the files likely include CSAM - which is in the public interest to never be released or available.e
