I agree and said the same a few days ago. Better to do 25 straight at an angle and decrease the angle gradually.
Find something you can barely do 25 pushups against. Then go lower and lower until you are on the floor. 3/3
It is better to do pushups against something elevated. If you want to be able to do 25 pushups. 2/3
Doing pushups on your knees does make it easier. However it will be a different angle than doing regular pushups. 1/3
This is also basically what actors do before a "walking up in bed shirtless" scene.
