Yes, excessive consumerism should be an individuals job to reflect. At the same time there is only so much an individual can do.The biggest impact come from the manufacturers through packaging and product changes. There are documentaries that even when you recycle to the best of your ability, it doesn’t even make it to the recycling center. That won’t change if bare bone profits are always valued over the impact
