For me, that's the really sad part. You can't ask anything. All that history, all that knowledge... is gone.

See, anyone doing this is a moron. Unless you saw the person park, you don't know why. I had a very angry note once parking at FedEx. There were no free spots and the car on the other side was over into my spot. The car on the other side of that car was ALSO in his lane. The next car appeared to be the asshole, but you never know what the situation was when that one parked.

One of my concealed carry instructors was obviously a bit nuts. He knew fundamentally he could not really be ready for anything... So his solution was to cover himself with guns and knives and practice ALL THE TIME... The guy was obviously terrified of everything. The cognative dissonance of "guns make me safe" and being smart enough to imagine realistic scenarios is strong.

I think many people who buy a gun imagine very unrealistic situations where they respond to a mugging or something with the gun and save themselves. In reality, by the time you realize you are being mugged, they have a weapon ready and aimed at you, and you have a gun somewhere under a shirt or tucked in your pants or something. If you go for your gun you're going to get shot unless you some kind of billy the kid quickdraw master. It's rarely practical.

Yeah, sometimes I wish I'd done that myself

I moved my handgun to my office... Didn't trust a gun safe even hidden in the attic to be safe enough w/kids. Bought it and got a concealed carry license a while back to have some protection from hogs during bow season.. Rs make it challenging to find real statistics but as best I could determine it is less safe to have one than not ... Outside specific circumstances anyway

So glad I started at a time and in a field that allowed slacks and a button up shirt.

Leaving aside the ambiguity inherent in the bible itself, it doesn't matter what a theologian would say. It matters what the idiots believe. They hear they're forgiven, they're good to go. Maybe there's some cognative dissonance for a second if they hear a priest speak about the need for repentance, but it's ignored and quickly forgotten.

Look, I get why this is news. Anything involving a Tesla automatically is news, especially if it's bad. However, regular car fires are NOT news. How many regular car fires are there? 19 per HOUR. Fires in vehicles powered by explosive liquid > powered by batteries, by a HUGE margin. The problem is novelty, and how ridiculously bad people are at statistics. Known dangers are just ignored as a part of life, no matter how much worse they are.

I was thinking they ALL need to be flagrantly trans or gay.

Well, how do you become king then?

I admit to not digging in deeply on it, but every impression I ever had since it happened until now made it seem entirely consentual, where the tragedy was that poor girl suffering under the weight of extreme public scrutiny and judgement. If that's wrong, well, Clinton's way worse than I thought. There's definitely questions about the guy, just afaik no proof or no significant evidence. If he's guilty of this or anything else, I'm all for it coming out...

Order ey? Who does he think he is?

I'm reasonable sure this will always be at least a little bit funny. I'm fact, I suspect it'll be MORE funny later when there are possibly grandkids about.

Obviously need a louder phone then. :)

Of course she had a choice. Not justifying Clinton, just saying forcing yourself on someone is far beyond whatever really went on between Monica and Clinton. Clinton's still a cheater, at minimum.

My ankles regularly pop with every step down the stairs when barefoot... and then about a dozen steps after. No idea why. Nothing going up stairs or regular walking, and never with shoes that I know of... although as we don't wear shoes inside that's tested pretty rarely.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure if they're robbing you they give YOU directions.

Yeah, even the impression this is comparable to that is beyond stupid and halfway to evil.

They tended to last 30+ minutes anyway, and had nearly everyone... Accounting, software, IT, mechanical engineering, shop.... 80%+ was useless to everyone else there. Smallish company, 40 people or so
