Mother cat does that to the baby. Asserting dominance is part of socializing. are you familiar with the typical scene when they are seemingly competing to lick each other until a fight break out?
I did not say they don't have emotions. But they observed behaviour not analogue with human behaviour. You know: when the dog tries to bury the fish, they say it tries to save. Or when people let for cats to wash them, because they think it is cute meanwhile this is a dominant feline behaviour and will cause problems later on in the household, etc. This is cute for those whom never seen calf IRL.
What you can see here is a motherless calf tries to pacify themself because they are missing their mother cow. I know it is always fun to anthropomorphize them but this is rather sad but cute.

ok I give you that, kudos for the research. Yet I feel that these deals do not represent the real or average price of the can. Quite sometimes they include the gamble of the loss on the actual advertised item in favour the chance that you buy something more profitable items as well with them. And to add that: I can imagine to find some deals now where the price is lower that 1.40. - I lurked around and there are good multipack deals. And the co-op was always better with a hint of cinnamon.
