Hmmm... Zeta Gundam?

It was meant as a reference to the peanut butter brand. A lot of acronym pronunciations are "wrong" but don't get the scrutiny gif does.
Not presuming you're one of them -- perhaps you're entirely consistent within your own standard for acronyms.

Language is a shared understanding so I don't mind either pronunciation, I can understand both. But acronyms being inconsistent is normal.
There's lots of examples that the "hard g is definitively correct" crowd ignore. SCUBA, BASE jumping, PIN number, etc. It's older than gif.
I don't mind people using either pronunciation but I find people who insist on this principle don't follow it for loads of other acronyms.
One day she skipped the receipt part and went straight to "Enjoy." I confidently said "No." and walked away.
Every day I get lunch at cafeteria at work. For months the exchange was "Do you need your receipt?" / "No." / "Alright, enjoy." / "Thanks."
