"Let me live, love, and say it well in good sentences."
Yes, but he's a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd & Husky mix. Very stout boy, but a gentle giant (:
Hey, so it's officially okay for you to make that reference now and I honestly love you so much for it. No clue how I didn't see this comment back then. Kenny, is Kenny from South Park. I rescued him from a (very questionable shelter, like filthy) that took pets off death row the day they were scheduled for euthanasia. I was in my South Park era (still am) and saw his orange coat and thought 'not gonna let these bastards kill Kenny after what he went through'.
Okay, so I just looked at it under an old incandescent bulb (in my parents basement lol) and it most definitely is glittery/shiny! Couldn't see it in the sunlight for some reason?
Yeah, Gemini told me it was dendritic (something or another) but did steer me away from it being a fossil (which I thought was the hallucination, thus my asking imgur haha)
My cousin minored in geology (back in the 90's) and swore to me it was a fossil ๐
Super cool, thanks for the explanation!!
Yes, sorry I thought I mentioned it in the post (my adhd meds wore off early today lol) Northwestern NC & pulled from the north fork of the Reddies river.
Exactly why I came to imgur with this first :)
I had geologist but kept saying archeologist & now I feel dumb ๐
Ah, ya got me!
Thanks! I thought so too haha
Oh it does! Another commenter suggested hornblende so it's looking more & more likely to not be a fossil
This was found in Northwestern NC
My cousin did a double major and her minor was geology, she commented on the Facebook post and was pretty sure it was fossilized plant matter but also gave me the contact info for the department so I may reach out and see if they can help!
Here's the backside, and Gunter's head lol
There are a few little flecks of glitter scattered around but I wouldn't say the background is shiny or glittery. Some of the black parts look a bit shiny in the right light though!
Hey, that's his business lol
I'm very lucky to have a mountainside growing thick with it, no spray, no roadside emissions! Wish I could share with you!
Yup! That's the premise I remember hearing about, kudos!
Yes it was the Sabrina comics I heard about. Doesn't she revive someone from the dead or something?
MoonReader is my go-to epub app, CoolReader works well too.
I haven't read the Archie comics (just got into comics/graphic novels a few years back, should I?) but it seems like I remember someone telling me there is a really fucked up/dark arc in those?
Every time I check back in on imgur over the last year, it's another version of this

That's terribly cool, I'd love to build something like that! I actually have my paw's old Sears hobby telescope from the 60's in a box somewhere, the lenses look good but I could never get an image through the viewfinder. Wonder if I could butcher it into something useful lol
You have piqued my interest (and stroked my ego, which I needed, thanks haha.) The aurora shots are off the 18-55mm & I got the comet with 75-300mm zoom (both Canon lenses.) So, I am curious though, would that be sacrificing the camera to use as a telescope or creating a new lens?
Perhaps, and I really do appreciate the compliment (: But I'm using an older & non-astro specific camera (Canon Rebel SL1) to catch these shots, which is pretty much the next step in the hobby. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to spend on upgrades ๐ ๐ญ
No, you are!
I wish! There is a weak substorm and some activity for northern states/countries into tomorrow night but for me to see the aurora in NC, we need a kp level of 7+ which is in the G3-G4 territory, we're at G2 now :/ The sun is at a solar maximum period though, so expect more photos in the coming months/year!
