I have come to understand that what was in humane was the industrial treatment and the detachment to reality it brought. Took me years!
I have been a vegetarian for what 7 years before I understood that you could treat an animal a decent life, and kill it in a decent death.
Since consumers are seeing the animals alive, there would be far less traumatizing looking treatments :/
As someone who grew up with "freshly killed"meat that you could choose alive,it would assure quality and I think better treatment of animals
I get moved every time I read her story and how people around the world tried to reach her hand and say "I'm sorry. You are not alone."
