My cats don't get along either, but sometimes it just be like that. The older kitty doesn't like to play and finds the young one annoying.

The texture of the coat makes me think Australian Silky Terrier
They are not that shape, the groomer sculpted the hair to look ovular. You can see the tips of the ears if you look closely
