No

lol that was a handful of incidents by a small group of idiots over ten years ago. they were arrested and jailed. the far right Tommy Robinson fans do worse than that every year, harrassing & intimidating people. I lived in Whitechapel in the 00's - yeah it's a heavily muslim area but there was also a gay nightclub and mens sauna at the end of my street, loads of bars and pubs.

see also: Brexit. The places worst affected by it are also now the places voting for Reform who will continue to make things worse.

it's sadly the exception rather than the rule, ironically access is now mostly held back by money and algorithms when in the past it was record labels / radio, so there was a semblance of picking talent. It's virtually impossible to make a living from selling music now, so again that rules out anyone poor, because they can't dedicate themselves to music if they can't pay the rent. This girl, Kirby, studied at Berklee - an expensive private music school. She's good, but she's not self made.

also: "release the Epstein files, unredacted" which turns out might have been a teeny tiny mistake on his part to say out loud

yeah but let's be honest, it wasn't anyone from the left who shot Charlie Kirk. Mossad, MAGA, Rightwing accelerationist, Libertarian, Liberal - take your pick. My money is on Mossad. We'll likely never know, shooter will never be caught (though we might get a dead patsy)

an actual processing centre, funded with staff, to sort out who is genuinely needing asylum and getting them into work, paying tax, integrated...and finding who isn't and deporting them. Instead we just stick em in hotels, do fuck all, and Farage gets his political ammunition to fuel the Idiot Riots.

I was reading about a fucking NEUROSURGEON refugee from Syria who was in a hotel for over 4 years, unable to work...while our hospitals are desperately trying to recruit so much they're sending teams to Indonesia to find nurses and doctors. Families that had to escape the Taliban because they helped UK forces and were targeted for it, having to travel over on small boats and now stuck in hotels getting threats from toothless chavs waving flags... It's insane and infuriating.

the amount of money the UK government has pissed up the wall on stupid schemes like Rwanda, not to mention the general corruption of lining their own pockets, plus pulling out of the Dublin Agreement due to Brexit...this whole hotel situation could have been avoided by literally just building a proper processing centre and actually properly dealing with migrants rather than just sticking them in hotels to rot while flag waving idiots scream at them.

Holly Valance. She's an Australian TV soap actress who then had a one hit wonder single in 2001 (which turned out to be someone else's song from 1997 that she covered). After that her career pretty much disappeared, she then married Nick Candy, a billionaire property developer who introduced Nigel Farage to Elon Musk (at Mar-A-Lago). He's treasurer for the Reform Party, a far-right UK political party currently pushing anti-immigrant protests.

She married a multi-millionaire and gets paid to appear at rightwing thinktank events. She's a moron parroting pre-prepared talking points provided to her by her PR team - she absolutely crumbles under a single proper question. Thick as mince.

Not only is this painting incredible, but can we take a moment to realise the magic that has been destroyed by mp3s and then streaming? not to mention the quality control....

actually, ironically there's absolutely LOADS of fully working combustion engines available in china for sale, as they have transitioned to electric cars faster than any other nation. the old shitty ones have likely been scrapped but the rest they're trying to sell off i guess.

Tax wealth, not work. 2% on all assets over 10 million (this is STILL under the average 5% return on large asset holdings). Also, companies should pay tax on the source of their revenue, not the location of their company HQ. These two simple changes - that only require political willpower because they have been studied and shown to work - would completely change western society, and possibly even halt our descent into modern serfdom & fascist oligarchies.

plus, ISPs and all these big tech platforms continue to deliberately fail to put the tools of censorship into parents hands. Did you know as an end user it's still basically impossible to block specific apps on things like the switch or tablets - games that have chats where kids are being targeted, apps like youtube where 'age appropriate' is a total shambles. Even trying to block stuff via your routers etc you have to be extremely advanced at IT (and essentially use linux)

as a parent, this is all so frustrating to see because they're not actually banning the stuff that is the *real problem for young people* - youtubers and influencers pushing hateful material online - racism, misogyny, homo/transphobic stuff etc. - they're just using a "porn ban" to push surveillance (data which will likely be sold to fuckers like Palantir) and silence political dissent.

look at the name of the daily mail reporter. this is all a windup (unfortunaltey)

I'm British. our govt are just as complicit. very few Western nations have clean hands on the subject of Israel - Ireland probably the main one who have been on the right side of this conflict for the longest time now.

Compare this to that flight evacuation in Japan in Jan 2024 where all 379 people survived with just seconds to spare. If people had evacuated like this (basically: American Hyperindividualism), not everyone would have lived.

Arresting people for holding signs that say "Palestine Action" is more hardcore than they even were on IRA supporters in the 80s and 90s. All for throwing paint on a plane, which flew again within 72 hours so clearly wasn't damaged. Yet Britain First are still not proscribed despite repeated acts of violence. Ridiculous. Honestly I think it's the most insane thing I've ever seen in UK law.
