It certainly is, the plant is called the Mega Ranch. It's a silly name, but the execs seem to like it.
It is, and you can try the crispy "chicken" cutlet at Birdcall in the Denver area.
The texture is actually quite close to meat as it's made with mycelia, not fruiting bodies.
It's textured and flavored to be a good replacement for meat products. The texture is fibrous like meat.
It's technically not made of mushroom as there's no fruiting bodies involved, only the mycelia. The flavor and texture are impressive, tho
