Then if a chromosomal anomaly is probable, you can decide to do further testing. You decide what's your best option with your beliefs.
There are several blood screening tests that can be done inplace of amniocentesis. They arn't as accurate, but they give you a good idea.
I didX. So far I'm as free and clear as can be without amniocentesis.
