Thanks! Agreed, it's a bit lackluster. Well, just goes to show how useful conversational French is -- you can get jokes like this one...

Maybe not keys so much as a loose range of intervals... People don't really speak in keys (specific sets of tones). At least, I think so...

"Boulangerie" is French for "bakery." "Boulangerie" & "boo-lingerie," as far as I can tell.

That's perfect... higher stakes, though, since there's no water...

Seconded!

sparkles, sparks, tends, and trolls shouldn't be there if you're going to use them as "looks." Also, maybe include necessary prepositions?

Attends, contemplates, coos, "evil eyes," feasts, flashes, flicks, glints, gloats, leches, "once-overs," "perves," radiates, slants 1/2

The conjugation of the verb stays the same, b/c it's still the subject "je." "Aimez" is only used when the subject is "vous."

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right, but if it were a plural object, "vous" is still the objective form of the subject "vous." So "I like you (plural)" is "Je vous aime."

Wow, great job OP!

This sounds exactly like a Tolstoy story, "The Kreutzer Sonata." I'd recommend it -- a little odd, but I think it's great.

I suppose that's a class that could be prefaced with that statement. I can't think of many, though, that I'd immediately jump to.

With sources & citations, no less! Bravo, and +1 for you -- it's a terrific idea.

+1 for the band, even if I'm not in Austin. Wish I could go!

Zhuge Liang uses a feather fan. It shoots lasers as well, of course. And lightning.

past subjunctive mood, indicating the somewhat irregular conjugation. Sorry for the essay...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually, the proper conjugation for the verb "to be" with a singular, 1st-person pronoun in this case is is "were." The verb is in the 1/2

Happy birthday OP! I'm a twin too -- I know what it's like. But if I could get through it, you sure as hell can too. Have a great birthday!

I agree with everything you said except for one thing -- I don't think that the Nordic model would be viable in a country like the US.

These are great! Nice job.
