If you'd like, you can go ahead and look up the Pathogen Avoidance Hypothesis for uncanny valley. I'm not gonna argue it, but the same pattern recognition that says sailing ship also says snake in a bush, and much like we're not trained to freak out about robots, we're not trained to see ships but the systems come from somewhere.

I've also heard the theory that it IS a specific adaptation, but for illness. Being able to look at someone who doesn't look *quite* right, their skin too puffy or sallow or whatever, and get that instinctive 'time to back away' feeling might have been a powerful mechanism against transmittable disease.

The funny thing about THAC0 is that its only problem is the way it's phrased and shown on tables. If you break it down to how the math actually works, it's literally just a to hit modifier, like all future editions use. THAC0 is just... the most terrible way to show it ever.

4% is significant, but the chart only has data on 2022 and 2023. Two data points and the rest are estimates claiming the known 10% year over year increase is going to be 45-60% YoY for the rest of the decade....

Be a real jerk to your players.
7 or 8 dopplegangers with a dozen gargantuan mimics all as part of a telepathic hivemind/commune, moving themselves around and to different bodies and shapes when the PCs aren't looking to pretend to be a whole village... until the PCs are asleep in their 'rooms in the inn'.

~5.9 trillion miles and 9.5 trillion km if my brain isn't wrong.

And it's not even a problem concepting that much distance, the concept of 1 trillion ANYTHING is so big that it's basically not a valid idea to most people. A trillion seconds ago is 31 thousand+ years ago, three times longer than the very first proto-writing of human history.

This is definitely true and not that uncommon, but remember the distance from the BC south to north borders is about the same distance from Orlando, FL to Cincinatti, OH, so BC has the same sort of climate difference, especially due to the huge mountain range shoved in the middle of the province.

Actually... depending on where exactly it is in BC, maybe? Some of BC is affected by pacific warm winds constantly, and are considered the same climate zone as Southern Georgia/North Florida.

My city has one! It's technically an "art exhibit", but it's hundreds of people dressed in black and wings crow masks and there's a bunch of music and stuff before the entire lot of them parades through the city, blocking traffic and stuff for about 20-25 minutes as they walk a historic park that's known for the massive flock of crows that nests there. It's kind of amazing.

It's a plum wine that she carbonates. I don't know how well it works, but I can definitely see it going well as a faux-champagne sort of drink, but it'd be a pretty unique taste.
