There was a big event last month on AI in sanfrancisco. It helped me understand the perspective. I'm in IT so im a little less resistant than others. But at the end of the day, we (employees) can either elevate our performance using AI (and all the headache there from) or we'll eventually be the lowest performers and get pushed out. But if companies don't push for AI, then the whole company will lose to competitors. Its simply no longer okay to take 2 hours to format an excel document
I ache for you. Last year i had the same experiencr. I chose cremation. So many variables with burial of pets. What if the land gets dug up in 50 years? That wasn't something I was okay with. Poured her into a river so she could explore the world. ❤️

From a lower manager perspective: AI functionally can make a high performer into an ultra high performer. Let it read all your sent emails and now it can write replies to emails from vendors with your language. You still need to proof it and replace bogus data with specifics to the message, but the framework is already there and (once you are used to the process) you can do the task is 20% of the time. But a low performer will just use it as a longer route to their same results.
