My understanding is OP didnt give notice. Maybe Im wrong in that assumption?

I do if I think theyll serve their notice period. Otherwise they can get bent like OP.

So do employers. I do personally give notice if I have a firmish date, but reading posts like this makes me rethink that practice

Not saying its better, but dicks like OP is why it happens. He should have given a start date when project was up.

Huh?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 13

They told him so he could have time to interview and say " i am available starting x day"

And bad employees

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

I do actually give notice if there will be a lack of work. when that happened they stayed to the end. Win win. Op is a dick and he knows it

What about employers financial stability? did courtesy of informing OP but asked OP not to start new gig until term up. Now they r worse off

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 12

Im not making a moral claim Im saying the commenters reasoning goes both ways. If op should just be concerned for himself so should employer

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

This is exactly why we dont usually tell. They did op a courtesy and op didnt return.

I got 2 huskies a year ago, we used to have a nice lawn. Now looks like a lunar surface. Dog did indeed do something with this yard.

Then just call it universal healthcare or single payer? If you are going to be pedantic at least do it right.

Youre not wrong but taking that tone will cause most people to dig in their heels

More an indictment of our legal system than the death penalty

Good analogy

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Yes but we have to pay for it. Just a long slow expensive death sentence.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Does it? DA response is due in 3 days for full consideration. The whole issue is regardi g testimony which wont become public for months

We can also take it all back and you can spend your time chasing game and avoiding big cats.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. But like 2% of the time, this hits home.

Yes, the first three seconds, when one makes unmuting decisions

I submit that excited dog noises could reasonably be expected from opening shot and would be much preferred

There is nothing in this post suggesting insurance is crooked, in fact they prob paid more than 965. No patient responsibility.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Learn how to argue. We r discussing the hospital. Op is complaining about the difference between his cash rate and the charges to insurance

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If people dont make coherent arguments, we have no basis for guiding change. Funny thing is this is an example of us healthcare working.
