Hi! I joined imgur to send full res photos to friends and stayed for the memes. I'm into freediving and photography. And 3d printing. Feel free to ask me stuff, I love talking about those things.

For the craftmanship yes. There is little room now to develop it. But I'm most impressed by the design and vision. Having this idea and bringing it to life with digital painting or modelling would also be a great feat and require a skilled and experienced artist. I don't consider those art forms lesser, just because they are more acessible.

They equalize the pressure in their ears every 2m. She is a worldclass athlete and can do it hands free. Us normos have to pinch our nose and blow air into it.

He has goggles on. But even still. I would die in that weather without a hat even without jumping down a mountain

I thought he was gonna bring up the fact that turtles don't have teeth

#1 the soundtrack of "Crab Campions". Dancing sea critters is kinda his specialty.

Not a flying fish. But a walking fish.

I thought the same- just with breathhold. I'm doing freediving and I love the breathhold training because I love the quietness. If you need a hobby- you already have the right mindset for it :D

I work in an industrial design studio and we only use these. But we mostly care about drawing, but writing. They offer great control over the line strength. They last super long. Yes, they are scratchy when new. But not for long.

Great work again! But where do you store all your hundreds of intricate costumes?

Thats easy to say if you're someone who does not suffer from the consequences letting the powerhungry loose.

I mean you can't go around and say "we have to change noting.", others must change. And then expect your goods to be produced with no footprint.

I think the response is not very intelligent. Someone seems to forget that those companies produce the stuff that the individual is consuming. And if the INDIVIDUAL people wouldnt buy it they would be bankrupt already. There are very few industries that don't serve the consumers. The Military industry is one of the few that you don't have to feel responsible for (...except with voting).

Swallowing is no reliable way to equalise quick and deep enough. Vasalva or frenzel do work. Buut the swallowing mechanism can be trained and controlled without actually having to swallow- but only the absolute pros can do that.

You just learn pressure equalization techniques on day one of any dive course. Scuba or apnea. Pump up those ears!

oh and also its not a bad idea to generally wear some glowy bits. Everyone looks the same with the suits and masks. Being easily identifiable helps not following the wrong people or getting left behind.

Thank you! Well, you dont start like this. You start with getting your head under the water and improve a little bit month by month. But of course there are tricks to it. Most people get down to 10meters during the 3-day level 1 course. ;)

To mark me as safety diver :D

It depends on what Im doing. Out and about with my camera: 2:45min. Slowmo walking on the ground: 4:20min. I had my first lesson 5 years ago. I usually do co2-tables on my sofa and daily stretches 1month before my vacations. There are lot of videos about these. The cool thing about freediving is, that you can do it on any skill-level. You can get into the water at day one, but you will constantly get better and there is always more to learn.

I didn't think about gore. I thought you meant the loss of focus. Before I had internet I was painting all night long.

Kinda cool?! These are masterpieces!

Professional, what? I dont see them equalizing their ears. Less teaching, more ripping his sons eardrums. I really doubt he was able to teach his son hands free equalization. I know a lot of good divers and maybe 3 of them can do it.
