So this past year, after leaving my old therapist 2-3 yrs ago, I found a new therapist who introduced me to DBT and it was like the lights went on. It’s not like I don’t still have some problems, but now I have tools to work with. I finally felt recognized, helped, and not judged.
first of all, thank you for your bravery in posting and self-awareness in your post. If everybody had just a little more self-awareness, this world might be 1,000,000% more mentally healthier. I’m not gonna tell you how to live your life. I’m really not one thing I would add to the other comment who said to check out a certain therapy technique is to second checking outDBT or dialectical behavior therapy. And ideally really very importantly if you could find a therapist who is well-versed in it.
Why don't you add some alternative ones? We need all types

I completed in Shutzhund for years. Treat your dogs properly.
