Yeah, at my last job I was pretty important at the micro level. Managers asked me for help with things I was good at. But technically, as far as corporate was concerned, the metrics they cared about, I was shit at.

When I was working at a big box electronics retailer, a big method of job performance evaluation was the amount of paid store memberships and private credit cards I pushed out. They wanted me to try and sell them. And if I failed, try to "overcome the objection," basically push further when they said no. Later, they also wanted me to call for a manager to try if I couldn't the second time.
I hated this shit. Respect the customers' answers. Not to mention my moral objections to selling credit.

I go to casinos sometimes as a like, night out with my brother, but we mostly stick to slots. I go in with cash, refuse to use any on property ATMs, and set an upper limit for myself. If I hit the upper limit, I leave a richer man. If I run out, I leave and consider that the price of a fun evening. I see people really stressed and angry in casinos and I really sympathize, knowing some are in there night after night.

Yeah, I can't watch horror or anything because I dwell on things like this too much - I tried to avoid using public bathrooms for a long time because I was uneasy around mirrors, especially ones I wasn't famillar with.
Weirdly, a strange hobby of mine is to read horror movie synopses, but never to watch them.

For context, bots that skim Reddit and generate articles of nothing of note except regurgitating what was in the OP and comments have been popular for a while now, and gaming is a prime target for it. So on the WoW subreddit, some guy made an obvious joke excited that "famous" character Glorbo was finally being put in the game. The thread gained so much buzz multiple content farming sites ran the "story". A senior dev also tweeted about being happy to finally talk about "Glorbo".

Yeah, recently with the ending of the WiiU eshop, for example, its practically impossible to play Xenoblade X now. Day 1 patches made that game stable, and nlw the patching network is gone. If you dont already have the patches, you're screwed. And its the one Xenoblade game Nintendo hasnt ported to Switch.

The third point is especially important to me - a lot of things have been explained to me that I need to learn it as "rote memorization". Everything has an explanation which explains its existence. Once I learn that reasoning, I recall the memorization paty way better.

Back when I played TF2 on my groups community server, we convinced some kid to go into the console and keybind the W key to close the game, and he joined the server several times and immediately closed his game by trying to move.

Oh fuck, took me going through your post history to figure out you're just an alt account of Cheshire. Tag teaming on almost all your recent comments. Either that or you guys really need to get a room.

Doesn't take a duly elected official to be cognizant of the general sentiment on a platform. The front page of Imgur has a lot of left leaning content, consistently getting high levels of upvotes. Left leaning (especially young people) have a very high level of solidarity with labour. Labour solidarity corresponds with dislike of generative AI affecting labour markets. QED, imgur /generally/ dislikes AI art.

It was related to the deleted comment. With zero context, yeah, it probably doesn't look great.

Damn, didn't think I'd have to take back the "you can post anything, within reason" part of my comment. Maybe some vengeful mod actioned it and used the volatile language as a scapegoat? Either that or you deleted it to prevent the downvotes from rolling in.

Crazy, my comment has upvotes, and yours is currently -1. I think that there might be a reason for that.

You're allowed to post whatever, within reason. But if getting mean comments and downvoted hurts your feelings, you might wanna post/promote your AI art on a different platform. The general consensus here is (rightfully) that AI art is low effort, borderline plagiarism, and you won't find a whole lot of praise for it.

In Cyberpunk 2077, everyone with cybernetic enhancements can have their senses hacked assuming they don't have strong "ICE" (Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics). I feel like a strong alternative is just, not uploading your nervous system to the internet?

You're forgetting that Trump has them believing that Biden didn't actually win the election, and therefore isn't a legitimate president. Meaning that anything Biden does is illegal.

Portal 2 dialogue calling Chell fat is really funny because I'm fairly certain most people were captivated by the fact you could see the player character through portals organically in The Orange Box, and were able to see that Chell wasnt fat.
