you are right that a mathematically correct feedforward is (almost) impossible, but you can use optimal control (like LQR) to approximate one, and then on top of that you will have to put a feedback controller like PD (you wouldn't need the I) to regulate away any deviations that optimized trajectory had from a mathematically correct feedforward.
I implemented those before on a double pendulum.
a PID controller alone does nothing.

absolute nonsense, the wikipedia article doesn't even say what you just said.
no. the D in PID is for the derivative of the error that you want to dampen, because if the error changes quickly, that's a sign that you are about to shoot past the desired point.
a PID controller will never go past 90 degrees on a double pendulum, at which point the input (carriage movement) is multiplied by the cosine of the angle (cos(90°)=0) and you no longer have a relation between input and output.

*feedforward. Feedback is inherently linear that wouldn't get over the singularity in the sin/cos functions

PID doesn't get you that. These are done by optimal feedforward control planned ahead of time, then any deviation from the optimal path can be done with PID.

How long do you think he practiced that epic one liner? I imagine him going home to his mom and tell her how he owned the libs that day.

yeah, that's not what this says.
>Bei dem Schützen soll es sich um einen langjährigen Grenzschutzbeamten handeln, teilten die Bundesbehörden mit.
This is written a weirder grammar "the subjunctive mood", a proper translation is: "The shooter was a longtime border patrol agent, claims the federal agency."

I don't believe in an afterlife, so... No. Please, make it earthly consequences.

me too, but I also had my weirder phases. Photos taken out of context can always be cringier than they might actually have been, especially if a caption is made up. But what is actually to like about them? To feel superior? It just made me feel dirty from one day to the next.

It's one thing to cringe, it's another to collect them as "a freakshow" to show around. Things like these range from people just enjoying their hobbies, over just trying to one up one another in weirdness, and others are factually neurodivergent. Don't be a bully.

These look super cool, but the shifting of the center of gravity doesn't seem quite right for the attack one
