Yeah that's typically where we look ๐ but at least we can set them down in much tighter areas without the need for forward airspeed. So lots less energy upon impact if done correctly
Thanks! It's just been a battle between my experience level and what the insurance companies usually want. That sounds like some fun times you had though
Oh we can glide as well, we just don't go as far
Oh yeah some of these families have a lot more money than they know what to do with lol
Not nearly as much as I did at my old cherry drying job where I flew Vietnam era helicopters ๐คฃ
No problem, glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun adventure out there
No problem, glad you enjoyed

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the pics!
? not bad huh?
Yeah they didn't pick a good font ?
Took me about 3 years and probably 80-90k
Oh yeah, it's some demanding flying but it would be awesome. My main goal right now is Wildland firefighting though
They advertise that prices start at $195
Well I'll do what I can. Might not get many opportunities now that I'm off training and on my own
Oh yeah, ATC usually wants us right over the Holland tunnel at 800' through there then it's a bit of a hard turn around the buildings
Sounds good ? we typically only talk to Tower for all operations though so that'll limit things a bit
Yeah I'd think so. Would just need a little bit of time to study the checklist/manual to make sure I'm not doing anything too dumb ?
Ah ok. Well we go by the callsigns New York 35, 38 and 39
More serious. We also have special procedures in the snow, like installing the snow deflectors and using engine anti ice to keep it running
It's really not too different, the main concern is visibility. You can get whiteout when landing or taking off in snow though so that's much
Lol yeah I remember that skit ?
Lol blade starts at $195. I might have to do a practice run on the trains before my flight though ?
Lol yeah it's way too busy in this area to do that while flying
Yeah they have them at Newark too. For some reason it's kinda funny to see when you work for them
I'm not familiar with that heliport but they advertise fights starting at $195
Technically yes, I could fly anything less than 12,500 lbs but I'm reality nobody will let you without further training in the type
Yup! We operate the bell 206L4s right now
Thank you!
