Omg these are the comments I come to imgur for

So tindr where girls have to initiate a convo? That seems pretty weird. Also why would girl opt for that over tindr?

This was such a good monologue

The largest turbines in New Zealand are 106 dB. Looking at a 102 dB turbine, it is within background noise at 312 meters.

If you look at actual decibel measurements for different sized turbines, 10 km is a ridiculous distance to have over 40 dB.

There is actually quite a bit of research into expectations of sound with new developments. Particularly in New Zealand and Australia. (1/2)

Sounds like a management problem and not a problem with the technology itself. That sucks. Could you the neighbouring house record the event

Thanks!

In Canada (where I live) it's already regulation. But people who speak out against them shouldnt oppose the technology just the regulations.

Yeah if offshore is available that is definitely the preferable option, for capacity and land use.

You realize that the most efficient power plants in the world are around 60% and most in use are around 30%

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You just don't build them next to homes..

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They just have to be built outside of the audible range of homes.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There isn't one answer. You have to be diversified. Some countries need to rely on nuclear more than others.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's not true, look at countries like Denmark. Hell Ontario has close to 10% wind energy and there isn't any offshore.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Do you have a point? Is there any form on energy generation that hasn't experienced accidents?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Skyscrapers and cats are more lethal than wind turbines

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wat

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Canada they can't be built close enough to homes to be audible.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Canada there are regulations limiting wind turbine construction outside the audible range for homes.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure for that to actually work they both have to facing the same direction

The people were bad but the cars were much better.
