I fucking love those cookies.
I wish! David Korins Studio (the designer) loaned the scale models out to us for a convention. :)
It's NYC; the design studio suggested Uber and it wasn't like I was going to take the subway.
I don't see taking five boxes (slightly smaller than a box of copy paper) and two people as being any crazier than two people and suitcases.
Yep.
I wasn't the one making the financial decisions, I just did what I was told.
I was in the car with them; both the models and I had to get from point A to point B. I would consider that using it as a shipping service.
The other option would've been a car service. 4x the price (at least) with no guarantees of a more considerate driver. How is that worth it?
"All of these boxes are fragile; I will load everything myself" really isn't a difficult concept had the guy taken two seconds to listen.
Also, it's NYC. Anything other than Uber is wildly cost ineffective. Even Uber is borderline cost ineffective.
Uber would've been totally fine if the driver had listened and not touched the models.
this season. Having to call the design studio to say that two of the five things they'd loaned to us had been damaged was awful. 6/6
much to my chagrin (but not to my surprise) he'd broken two of the models, one of which was for arguably the biggest show on Broadway 5/?
have time to be told how to do his job" and then slams the trunk shut. When we got there he unloaded everything just as violently and 4/?
myself he takes it upon himself to start picking up the set models and he literally THROWS them into the trunk and tells me "he doesn't 3/?
and when the Uber driver pulled up, he popped the trunk and as I'm in the process of explaining that I will load all of my "luggage" 2/?
I was transporting one-of-a-kind, literally priceless set models for several Broadway shows from the design studio to a second location 1/?
I've only given an Uber drive a one-star rating once; I wish it had been for half as entertaining a reason.
Cats are so dumb. I love them so fucking much.
Honestly it took me a second to remember that "The blood of the martyrs will water the meadows of France" is from Les Mis/not an anthem.
Tbh I came here looking for this comment.
Tbh I'm cool with Pennsylvania's new location.
I did not come to Imgur to get upset over TANKS AND AIRPLANES????????
Literally my favorite claim my office ever got was "Um. So. Like...I was at a stop sign. Stopped. And a deer RAN INTO MY CAR."
Peter Lockyer on FP?! Whaaaaaaaat?
19!
Oh good. Also, you should be able to put a claim in through your personal insurance and they'll subrogate if you need a rental ASAP.
Oooh boy. Let's hope the kid's dad has a high property damage limit on his insurance, or y'all are fucked.
Never use homeowners for jewelry! Get a personal articles policy instead--lower (or no) deductible and doesn't impact your claims record.
I work at a haunt and I have scared grown men into peeing their pants with "Ring Around the Rosie."
